lovely evening

After my ostiopath apt today I had about an hour before I needed to be anywhere so I went to Le Pain Quotidian on Melrose and had a wonderful dinner of quiche (theirs is the best!) and mint lemonade. Sooooo good. There was a girl singing on the porch (i sat outside) with a guy playing guitar. They were so cute. It was tremendous. I should do that more often.

Then I went just down the street to the PDC to a BAFTA screening of "The Proposal". I figured it was free & I didn't know if alex would have wanted to see it if he were in town so I went. And it was very fun! Much better than I expected. I think she is usually good in those kinds of roles & Ryan Reynolds is great too but it thought it would just be the usual romcom. And the story is what it is, exact what you expect going in. No surprises. But trhe surprise was how well it was written & played. it was FUNNY!!! The whole place was laughing. I sat with my friend Thomas & we all quite enjoyed ourselves. If you are on the fence about seeing it, I'd try & push you over to going. :) I'm glad I went.

in the park

I went to my ostiopath today & he always has us walk aftr an apointment. Luckily there is a park right across the street! I did a couple laps which was good, but it was hot today. Sometimes there are softball matches or soccer (both usually way little kids) but today (probably because it is tuesday & not sunday when we usually go) there were large groups of men clustered around tables watching each other play chess. It's so fun :) I wish I could go over & sneak a peek but I just don't think I'd fit in. I'll be ther are there almost every day.

cafe couple

I'm at starbucks & a couple just sat down in front of me. They put two tables together & she's working on her computer & he has a sketchbook & colored markers. It reminded me a bit of me & A in europe. More europe I think because Alex tends to read more in the US & sketch more in europe. Why is that?

new advinture

Alex was off agin to New York on tuesday. Thinking for 2.5-3 weeks. we'll see. Have a ton o'fun sweets! miss you already. :)

The mountains between Burbank & Glendale are especially beautiful this evening. The skies & clouds as well. After the rain this morning it is an amazing night.

Tiffany wonders
if the FB/twitter style third person is anoying on the blog? But sometimes cut & paste is just easier. Must assess. Thoughts?

Tiffany really wants
to go to bed but the cat keeps crying & tagging her leg -which means it's time to play. This after waking everyone up at 5:30 this morning!

tiffany is
a little sad she didn't figure out how to attend the "produced by conference" this weekend. must do things to counter that.

my cat
sometimes exhausts me, but then he looks at me with big round eyes & chirps. Then... He spazzes around the apartment like a mad thing. Crazy!

my cat
is so weird. The same blanket he sleeps on at night of snuggling with us... He's afraid of when he's wide awake & playing! Hmmmm.

I have to say that today I'm liking my uk world bank. I do most of my banking at another bank but have this one to communicate with my overseas accounts. Today I had to do many banking errands at two Major banks & this one that is small in calif. The big ones had TONS of people and huge long lines and fine people at the counter. But the small one had no one in it, which is usual a the very few branches around here, were very nice & no wait! Yea! Mel & Dad think it's silly that it is so empty but, it works for me!
