Mel took me to the airport today as I'm on my way to NYC (i know, again) :) We are both sooooo tired so I'm going to sleep on the plane the whole way. I hope she gets some rest too. She has been so great this week (and always). Yea mel! :) thank you!

I went to a salvage yard yesterday to look for a screen for under the counter. It was soooo cool! I've never been to one before so I don't know how it measures up but they had everything!!! So many doors & windows a knobs & stoves & fireplace mantles & so much more. I found something great for what I needed and I think I need to back when we have a house to see what we can find :)

We went to see Coraline (in 3D)at the Zigfield theater. A guy working there was either drunk or crazy (or both). The movie was visually amazing, and knowing what goes into stop motion animation a true work of art. But the story left a bit to be desired. It was all to easy & predictable. Oh well. But worth seeing I think.

24 hours

We had to stop by the always open Apple store! So fun!

We went to see a movie on saturday but it was sold out but we went to dinner instead. On the way we passed the theater where Equis is playing. There was a HUGE crowd outside waiting for Daniel Radcliffe to come out (because we were eating dinner after theaters are finished for the night). It was amazing. But I guess he did come out & sign some stuff. I heard it's good. Dinner was really good though. :)

Riding on the subway today. What a civilized way to travel. I soooo miss it (except in rush hour!) :)

central park

My favorite place on the planet (that I've been to so far) and my life
is fuller when I'm near.

astro in NYC

I may have missed the comic convention presentation but I still saw an
Astro. :)

We left the apt/hotel late (oops. My bad) and then came to Le Pain Quotidian for brunch. We used to come to the local one when we lived uptown & have loved it ever since. They are now allover! And we go to the ones in LA when we can. Even though it's a big(ger) chain now, it's still charming & fun & has really great, delicious, orgaic food. Yea!

old home

The B&N that we used to go to almast every day when we lived here. When your whole living space is 9' x 12' for 2 people you need to find a place to call the outside "liing room". The cafe here was that for us. I miss it.

You can't really tell but this is one of my favorite NYC lunches, a #3 on a roll. We came here a lot. It is so great! Some of our old haunts are gone :( but some just keep expanding.

Now, that's my kind of airort terminal. Jet Blue's new Terminal5 @ JFK has awesome stores & food places but most importantly, Jamba Juice! So exciting. I remember living in NYC & there were NO jambas. We were soooo excited when we saw our first one in a long while in Oregon. Now they're everywhere. We can move back! :)

here I go!

On my way to see Alex in NYC! Yippie!!!

see astro fly

So, I'm still not working but I guess Summit has faith that they will finish "Astro Boy" as they released new images & are presenting a scene @ the NY comic convention this weekend. So, we'll see what happens. In the mean time have a look:
ain't it cool news

We went to the Swanborg's to watch the Super Bowl yesterday. They
always throw a great party and this was no exception. It was was fun
to see everyone & the kids were fun. And what a fun game!!! I've been
a Steelers fan forever but I'm always a sucker for an underdog so I
was routing for both teams. I love a close game & hate blowouts so it
was perfect. It was a fun gang to watch with too. Thanks guys!!!
