free cone day!

Today was "free cone day" at Ben & Jerry's. There happens to be one in our complex so we all trooped down this afternoon to get our free ice cream. :) What's better than Ice Cream?... FREE ICE CREAM!!! Yippie!

festival of books

We went to Melrose today & got Alex some boots and then headed over to
UCLA for the festival of books. We're a bit late in the day, but found
a couple great books.

We did it!!! Today we bought a motorcycle! Yippieee!

After breakfast we went to the dealer and looked again at the Rebels. And the Shadow 600. And the Yamaha. And the Suzuki. We ended up with the Rebel. It's the bike I wanted 17 years ago when I first bought a motorcycle, but they didn't make them for a few years so I couldn't buy one. Now, I have it! And it's totally perfect for me =) It's too small & cramped for Alex, but he can still ride it and practice until he get his money and courage up to get a bigger bike. My feet touch the ground, it's not too heavy so I'm not gonna drop it, and it has just enough power to get to work & back.

I'm excited to ride & learn more about the road and myself whilst on it.

We got a lock and a cover and some gloves as well. Eek! Who knew there was so much to get? Now I need a jacket! =)

Yesterday, after we finished our class, ate lunch & fell asleep on the couch for a bit, we went to the Vespa dealership. We wanted to see the Piaggio MP3 in person. It's a 3 wheel scooter that I've been thinking about getting instead of a motorcycle. It's a really hard decision. They were closing up but we have to go back & take it for a test drive soon. I'll have to write about the pros & cons of each. Then, after we've test driven, we'll have to make a decision.
