changes =(

I don't like change. I never have. It's something I'm always trying to work on. But now there are two things that are not making me happy.

One thing that I missed so much in New York and also London was Jamba Juice. I had one favorite there, chocolate moo'd. Well, they just stopped making it before I got back here. They are also getting rid of Peanutbutter moo'd, Alex's drink. We've been back almost a month and we've been to Jamba once. ONCE! When we got back from NYC we were there almost every day. I'm so disapointed.

In London I went to Starbucks a lot. I know, I know. I hate their world domination but they really do make a kick ass hot chocolate. I don't drink or eat coffee of any kind, it's gross, so all I get there is hot choc. I love it. Turns out they put vanilla in it (the secret ingredient?). So almost every time I'd go to SB I'd get a muffin. A strawberry/white chocolate or bluebarry or apple/cinnamon... they had so many and they were all soooooooo good. Two years. This is what I did. I come here & head for the SB. No muffins! At all! NONE! They have one chocolate one but that's really a cake. They have cakes & cookies & pies & crumbles but no muffins. Not only are they the best tasting, but are the most portable. Again, I'm so sad. It was my ritual. Now what.

Of course being out here in the boonies (Mel's house) without a job, I don't get to many SBs anyway, but what to accompany my yummy hot choc?

I know, I know. It's tough. :) Not a single Starbucks here, not a single Jamba Juice. Not EVEN one single English-language bookshop (though a library was launched in Nouméa a month ago). But look at it this way, here's your chance to establish a WHOLE NEW SET of rituals. :) And for someone who does not like change, I have to say you've handled a whole slew amazingly well ... New York, cross-country trip, London, back to LA. ... Take heart. The next greatest best thing is just around the corner.
