right on red
This will so take getting used to! The whole being here thing but what I'm sturuggling with now is the driving.
Being on the other side of the road is OK, but it's the little things. I miss the buttons from my car in London. The radio volume (not to mention the stations), the window button, the seat adjuster... Also, it is so hard to remember that pedestrians have the right of way here. Very weird. I don't think I"ll remember that for a while as a driver or a pedestrian. Pedestrians have no rights in England, except for a few authourized "zebra" crossings. But... you CAN jaywalk there! Man am I going to miss that. It's sooooooo very lame that you can't here. If one walked, one would take forever to get anywhere! But the being able to turn right on red is a small blessing. You can't (left on red) in London. But in truth, there were always so many cars you didn't notice much.

People in Vermont are really anti-right on red. I find it rather queer. Too much livin' in LA, I guess. We jaywalk here too. Very exciting. I particularly love jaywalking in front of police cars. I don't know why.
How's the traffic for ya back in the States?
